*This is a single room rental for one person only *No additional animals at this time I have a mid-size (about 12x10) unfurnished room available in a 3 bedroom basement apartment. The apartment is about 1850 sqft, 3bd/1 HUGE bath. (The bath has a 9 ft vanity, 2 storage closets, and the tub/shower/toilet has a door so 3 people can all be getting ready at the same time with plenty of space to spare). The downstairs apartment has it's own entrance, thermostat/furnace, kitchen, washer/dryer, 3 driveway off-street parking spots, everything - completely self-contained and separate from the upstairs portion of the house. All together, there will be 4 of us living in the 3600 sqft home, with me living in the upstairs portion, and 3 housemates living in the downstairs apartment. One of your housemates has a well-trained service dog (a border collie) and I have 2 cats that live upstairs with me. The cool stuff: ~One of the best locations in the entire Salt Lake Valley: right on the bus route to the Cottonwood Canyons/ski resorts and west to Trax/Frontrunner, very walkable with 2 grocery stores, Starbucks, Java Joes, several restaurants, ski shops, extremely safe neighborhood ~Radon mitigation system (Radon is a big problem in UT and causes lung cancer), keeps levels around 0.4 which is very low ~Super close (less than 2 min) to I-215 ~Close to big and little cottonwood canyons!! Near the Fort Union area and Cottonwood Heights, Holladay, Northeast Sandy, and East Midvale. ~fully equipped stainless steel kitchen (microwave, dishwasher, stove, oven, fridge) ~laminate wood floors, like-new professionally cleaned carpet, fresh paint. You will love it! ~walking distance (less than 5 mins) to Whole foods, Dan's, coffee shops, etc. ~3 off-street driveway parking spots About me: I'm a very quiet upstairs neighbor, like to spend time in the mountains (hiking, climbing, snowshoeing), and garden. I have a 7 yr old cat who occasionally goes into the backyard, and I recently adopted a "dumpster" kitten. About You: You are financially stable, friendly, tidy, and generally a rock-star. Ok, the rock-star part isn't necessary, but you'd be cool with splitting up the utilities, not leaving messes for others to clean up after, and willing to help out with shoveling snow in the winter. My weird quirks: I really, really, really don't like the smell of smoke even outdoors (please non-smokers only) and fragrances give me migraines, so ideally you'd be cool with fragrance-free laundry products (because it comes through the vents into the upstairs) and not burning incense, candles, wall plug-ins, etc. Contract Stuff: Contract terms are whatever you need, but shorter term than end of July 2023 will be 15% more per month, Initial contract will be until July 2023, and then a 1 year renewal through end of July 2024. $42 application fee for your background and credit check (that's what they charge me), one month deposit with good credit (more for bad credit), and utilities & internet are split 4 ways.
