I'm from Salt Lake so know the area well. I live in the city and work at the U of U School of Medicine in research. The house is downtown, on a tiny, hidden street, 1/2 a block east of Trolley Square, close to everything. the U of U is 7 minutes away, Trax, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, restaurants, parks, and yoga centers, are even closer, and Foothill Drive is 7 minutes away, on your way, to the slopes, hiking, and biking. The house is 1,000 + square feet and light-filled with 2 bedrooms and an office or third bedroom. it's surrounded by trees, little birds, a few little squirrels, has a nice, wide porch, and a little, grassed backyard for R&R at the end of the day. The majority of the flooring is hardwood with 1.5 bathrooms, has a washer and dryer in the unit, and a private driveway. The 1/2 bath (really a water closet) is brand new and the main bathroom has a good-sized dark concrete and art deco glass block shower, making it low-maintenance. The kitchen has a dishwasher, a gas stove, and a separate range. Central AC was just installed in May. I have a 35 lb. dog who would love a good, 4-legged playmate close to his size who's friendly and has a sweet disposition; but it's not required. :) I work from home remotely, but am up at the University, roughly once a week. I'm clean and friendly, I love to laugh, but can keep to myself with work on the computer, which requires heavy focus. I rarely have people over, but do occasionally. I'm not a liar or a thief, am considerate, pay the rent on time, and am looking for the same. I like a clean house without a lot of noise and very little drama. The situation would be perfect for a serious student, medical resident, or law student. I love to cook, and I enjoy drinking sauvignon blanc from the Marlboro region to relax. The rent split is $1,175 each and covers the house share and all utilities, including high-speed internet and additional off-street parking. First month's rent and an equivalent security deposit due on the move-in date. The rent has been written into the contract not to increase for 3 years, and there is no additional monthly parking fee/pet rent.
